The village of Croy is nestled between rolling green hills and historical landmarks. It’s known as one of the best places in North Lanarkshire to access the Antonine Wall World Heritage Site, which is perfect for feeding curious minds or just stretching your legs at the weekend.
It’s certainly not short of contemporary attractions either. Broadwood Stadium, Cumbernauld Theatre at Lanternhouse and plenty of independent art galleries are based in the immediate area and nearby towns. Fantastic travel links keep the village well connected to some of Scotland’s most cosmopolitan cities, with Croy train station taking residents to Glasgow and Edinburgh in under an hour. However, easy access to the B802 between Kilsyth and Cumbernauld means that visits to your loved ones, work commutes or weekend trips away are easy to plan.
Shoppers are well catered for too. As well as lots of local boutiques, the bustling Cumbernauld Retail Park is just a five-minute drive away. Here you’ll find large supermarkets and local coffee spots, alongside family favourites such as M&S and Matalan.
A number of schools are within walking distance from Croy, including Cumbernauld Primary School and Holy Cross Catholic High School. For further education, the campuses for New College Lanarkshire are close-by, while the University of Glasgow, Glasgow School of Art and University of Strathclyde are 15-minute journey via train.
