We are looking to recruit an Assistant Buyer to join our Commercial team based in our Teesside office reporting to the Buyer. There are fantastic opportunities for career progression for the right candidate
The successful candidate will provide support for the Commercial Department and assist with the procurement of material and plant, under supervision of the Regional Buyer.
You will also be responsible for expediting materials ordered as required; resolving invoice queries in a timely manner ensuring, as far as possible, suppliers are paid in accordance with agreed trading terms while also ensuring the general office duties for the Commercial team are met.
You should possess basic knowledge of construction practice and materials commonly used in the House Building / Construction Industry while an HNC/HND in Construction or Supply Chain Management/Procurement is desirable or as a minimum, will be qualified by relevant experience.
