Our Regional Health & Wellbeing Champions develop annual actions plans to engage with staff on a range of activities, challenges, and events, throughout the year.
Together, with our housebuilder colleagues, we have signed up to the HBF Building Mental Health Charter and the promotion of the Lighthouse Club Construction Industry Helpline, which is available to all workers.
We support the approach outlined by national organisations including MHFA England, Mind and Lighthouse and this has resulted in the training and appointment of mental health first aiders at work locations across the business. Their primary focus is to be available to employees, to ‘listen’ to concerns, recognise warning signs of mental ill health and be able to sign post someone to potential sources of support.
In addition, we provide Mental Health Awareness training at all levels and work locations, with regionally appointed Mental Health Champions assisting in communicating our key messages and help drive our approach.
We also provide access to an Employee Assistance Programme, which is available to all employees.
